The design inspiration
was based on the dichotomy between the raw, human emotional needs of the
patient or family and the pure scientific facts of fertility treatment. The coming together of the human and
scientific elements to create life is represented by the melding of natural raw
materials intersecting the purity of the smooth white EIFS and slick metal
panel. Where these two paths meet is at
the center of the facility, which is signified in the lit up spire, symbolizing
the light of life. This also acts as a
way-finding element. The Institute
consists of all the resources and research that one may need seeking fertility
treatment. There is the clinic itself,
an apothecary shop, research labs, urologist suite, outpatient surgery suite
and other amenities such as coffee shop and other spa like amenities to help
patients deal with the stress of fertility treatment. Project completed while
