Red Rock High School PAC

Performing Arts Center Addition | Gymnasium | Classroom | Music Studio | Band Studio | Scene shop

1 story | 44,000 SF | $13.5M | Sedona |2010 | LEED-NC Gold (Registered)

Part of the school bond passed by the Sedona community was to update the 250 seat performing arts center on Red Rock High School campus with a 750 seat house and updated lobby, stage and back of house spaces to meet the needs of the school and City of Sedona community. The lobby design was to not only capture the surrounding beauty from the lobby but to create an illuminated beacon for the community at night.  Visitors are taken through an art walk experience where they meander past artwork of local artists.  This way-finding experience becomes part of the overall performance experience.  The house and stage are designed for variable acoustics, which can be tuned for either music or drama productions. Total project design consideration was to tie into the fabric of the existing campus.  Project completed while at Orcutt | Winslow.
