Located across Alumni
Mall from the College of Arts and Science, the built form expresses the
building material while metaphorically embodying the mission of the University
within the basic design concept. The masonry at the first floor symbolically
represents the foundation of the Christian values of the University. The building massing is an interplay of the
collaboration between the faculty and students. The pure white masses on the
2nd and 4th floor, represents the open and malleable mind of the student, while
the grey steel 3rd floor which cantilever’s and slides between the two student
floors, represent the infusion of the university education through faculty
interaction. Project completed while at Orcutt | Winslow.
