The goal of the renovation of this existing 1980’s tract home was to provide for a more open and workable space for entertaining. The wall between the family room and living room was removed and replaced with an entertainment center and computer desk. The kitchen was gutted and replaced with a modern and more open kitchen. The ceiling was raised in the kitchen and the corner window was extended ten feet, along the south wall, to allow more daylight into the existing dark kitchen. The existing floor finishes were removed and the concrete was ground down to reveal the beauty of the Arizona aggregate. More durable surfaces, like quartz and granite replaced the dated plastic laminate counters.
